Weekly Wrap 09.03.24

Game updates, brought to you by Worrigee Sports, come down on Friday's from 5pm and buy some raffle tickets!

First Grade - We bowled well this week with Shellharbour setting a total of 180 for the win. Graham Phillis best of the bowlers with 3 for 38. Unfortunately we couldn't follow through with the batting this week, with Nathan Tyrrell top scoring with 19. Its been a great effort this year by our first graders, we finish 3rd with a big chance to knock off LICC this week to get to the main game.

Second Grade - the story of the week goes to Shane Halliday and Matthew Higham ( pictured) . Basin set us a total of 180 to win, with the wickets being shared between the bowlers , Brad Cuddy with the best figures of 1 for 16. Basin didn't know what hit them with one of the finest captains knocks you will see from Shane Halliday ending up on 86 off 88! He was backed up by Matthew Higham with a great 71 off 105. With that the game was in the bag.

Third Grade - Well talk about cutting it fine, these boys need to open a barber shop. We had Basin out cheap for 132, Dylan Higgins was bowling cherries taking 3 for 13. With the bat we started ok with Nicklesh Singh making a quickfire 46. It was a little downhill from there, however out comes Ollie Ellery, who proceeds to dig right in, making 35 to bring it home with the loss of 8 wickets.

Fourth Grade - The good news kept coming with our 4th grade taking the chocolates down in Ulladulla. Kyeden Booth ( 34) and Xavier Smith ( 34) both gave us a good start, however we only ended up with 129. What happened next was just the proof of never giving up. We got them all out for 82, bing bam boom and onto the finals now boys! Jake Mussig bowled some leggies this week and spun a bit of magic taking 3 for 21.

So now we head onto semi finals this week, all teams are in good positions and all we can ask is to play the games with the Ex Servos fighting spirit, never give up and look after your team mates. We have a great history of being a competitive club, lets show the rest of the district what we are made of over the next few weeks!
