Game Updates from the weekend - brought to you by Worrigee Sports home of the Christmas raffle - get there this Friday and Sunday for a chance to win over $4000 in prizes!

First Grade - Well nothing beats a big win, especially when it puts you on top of the ladder! We batted first and came out firing, Michael Coulter smashed 51 off 31, Blake Munilla came in and again thumped a top 98 off 73, then to polish it all off our club legend Daniel Gleeson put the icing on the cake with a wonderful 103, making the ton off a great straight 6 at HDO- ( pictured). In reply the Eagles could only make 91 after being in all sorts early. Jake O'Connell took out one of the openers in the first over, then Michael Coulter weaved some absolute magic taking 5 for 5 off 7.10 overs! Our firsts now head into the break sitting on top of the ladder - go the army!

Second Grade had the bye

Third Grade - the 3rds bandwagon is rolling along quite nicely with another win this week. Making 270 with Donny Tharaka stepping up big time and making a swashbuckling 75 off 54 , Raj Kumar made a nice 57, and they were able to put Berry to bed for 184. Best of the bowlers this week was Jared Galvin with 2 for 26. Our thirds also sit on top of the ladder however some games aren't closed off yet, but we are right up there, nice boys!

Fourths - Well this experience the juniors are getting to help set us up for the future is starting to come to fruition, with a great effort by the lads this week. Bay and Basin made a decent score of 197 , with Adam Moore turning back the clock and taking 2 for 12, no more yips there mate! The story though was with the bat this week. Opening batter Kyeden Booth got them off to a decent start with 23, backed up by Shaia Wagner Smith with 23 as well. It was getting close at 4 for 79, but a few good partnerships, and a top little innings from Lukas Janes 54 ( pictured) brought them home with just the 5 balls to spare with Mitchell Janes hitting the winning runs, a great effort!

To our juniors

Stage 3 GOLD - no game this week

Stage 3 GREEN - A really close game against Berry this week, with our stage 3 green team just taking the cherries. With the bat Xavier Smith is in great touch this season making 63 off 49 ( pictured). Best with the ball was Daniel Bishop with 2 for 36, Berry fell just short by 5 runs after some really tight bowling at the death.

Stage 2 - Had a loss this week to Ulladulla however there were some good positives out of the game. Pat Doran and Johno Spinks best with the ball with 1 for 12 each. Logan Halliday top scored with 26 - onto the next game now guys

Stage 1 - Stage 1 won this week, beating North Nowra by 40. Shaunak Kankotiyas bowling practice has been paying off with him taking 2 for 4 , and Lennox Wills is in great form this year with 2 for 5. With the bat it was a bit shaky with Bayin Wills ( pictured) making 26 in the top order. This is where it gets very interesting though. Archie Richards was injured whilst batting later in the game and Bayin came on to take his place. Bayin then proceeded to hit the ball to all areas winning the game off his own bat. A memorable moment was when Bayin hit a 6 , raised his bat towards the pavillion and said "Thats for you Archie"! How special!

So now we go into the break after what has been a great half of the season for the club.

This weeks game is the under 19 - 20/20 match at Artie Smith Oval 6.30 pm this Wednesday with us going up against Bay and Basin.
