Weekly Wrap 2.12.23

First Grade - In a rain effected match our Firsts are on the horse and trotting hard. After getting Berry out for under 100, thanks to some fine bowling from Matty Higham ( 2 for 6 off 3 ) and Jake O'Connell ( 2 for 11 off his 8 overs) , we were set 72 to win and got that in 12.4 overs. Daniel Gleeson and Michael Coulter opened the batting and got off to a flyer with Michael being there at the end with 36 off 36.

Second Grade - was washed out

Third Grade - Our thirds bounced back this week getting Batemans Bay all out for 99, and chasing that down comfortably in 12.4 overs. With the ball Jeevan Hettigoda best of the bowlers with 2 for 17 off 8 backed up by Shawn Higgins who took 2 for 18 off his 8. With the bat Nicklesh Singh came through with another half century - nice Nicklesh, and Rajesh Kumar made a very handy 45.

Fourth Grade - a young side bowled well this week keeping Sussex to 170, Lukas Janes best of the bowlers with 3 for 12 off 3.4 backed up by Linford Breeze with 3 for 27 off 6. It was a week better forgotten with the bat, that's ok boys, take the positives out of the game and onto next week now.

Juniors

Stage 3 GOLD - could only muster 75 with the bat with Jude McPhail top scoring with 15. In reply Batemans chased that down in 16 overs. Our gold team is trying very hard week in week out and a win isn't far away

Stage 1 - (pictured) Stage 1 had a nice win this week making 110 versus 74 for Ulladulla. Best of the bowlers was that name again Jessie Moss taking 3 for 2 off 3, backed up by Shaunak Kankotiya (pictured) who took 3 for 5 which included his first ever wicket! Nice Shaunak! Other news from that match was Virat Rana (pictured) hitting his first 6, nice Virat! Talk about great memories right there
